June 5: Tara O’Grady
Tara O’Grady’s soulful voice has been compared to Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin and Patsy Cline. This New York native with Irish roots combines Celtic, folk, funk, blues, swing and especially jazz in her unique style.
June 12: The Lovesome
The Lovesome performs soulful Jazz and vintage R&B from the 40’s to the 70’s in a classic, effervescent style. Anchored by the lush vocals of Kelsey Jillette, the group plays songs made famous by Ray Charles, Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, Etta James, and Frank Sinatra in a romantic, danceable, and engaging style. Upscale, compact, always tasteful.
June 19: Michael Louis Band
We call our style ‘Brooklyn Swamp Music’. It’s a mix of blues, soul, funk & R&B. We’re from Gravesend, Brooklyn, NY. Ain’t no hipsters in Gravesend, just salt of the earth and great pizza!
June 26: Lincoln High School Choir
The Lincoln High School Honors Choir has won numerous award throughout the country. Recently, they won gold at the WorldStrides Heritage Performance Programs national music
competition in Nashville, Tennessee. They have performed in some of the most prestigious venues in the country, including Carnegie Hall.
July 3: Liza Colby
The Liza Colby Sound has been shaking since 2009. The 4-piece group band produces a sweet sound with enough bite to match Liza Colby’s mega-watt voice. The result is a gritty, sexy, garage rock explosion that echos of ’70s soul with a rock finish.
July 10: Salute to Veterans – Back to the Garden 1969
We will honor our Veteran’s with this special presentation of “BACK TO THE GARDEN 1969” The band is presenting the great variety of classic sounds associated with Woodstock, including acoustic and electric rock, acid rock, folk music, and soul. Presented in collaboration with the City Of Yonkers Department of Veteran Services
July 17: Mala Waldron
“Vocalist, Pianist & Composer, Mala Waldron has been performing professionally from the age of 15, when she joined a local R&B band. Her amazing sound is awe-inspiring
July 24: Roxy Perry
Roxy launched her blues career and quickly became known for her exciting live performances at clubs, concert halls and festivals. Roxy Perry was officially recognized and inducted as a GREAT BLUES MUSICIAN in the BLUES HALL OF FAME®.
July 31: Ainslie Street Vibes
Ainslie Street Vibes was founded by Brooklyn based jazz musician Claudio Marquez after moving to NYC. As a multi-instrumentalist, Claudio is able to perform in many different band configurations and is fluent in jazz, latin/salsa, and classical repertoire.
Aug 7: Ron Sunshine
One of the finest retro-swing bands to emerge in the ’90s, Ron Sunshine and Full Swing gained a small following playing a ’40s-like combination of jump blues, jive and small-group swing.
Aug 14: The Barons
The Barons are one of the tri-state’s hottest “oldies” groups with over 30 years of performing experience. The Barons are known for their 1963 hits, “Pledge of A Fool”, “Remember Rita” and “Possibility”, under the name of The Crowns.
Aug 21: Brooklyn Sugar Stompers
The Brooklyn Sugar Stompers perform traditional Jazz and Blues, specializing in music that ranges from the Prohibition Era 1920’s “Jazz Age” throughout the “Swing Era” of the 1930’s! They draw inspiration from incredible jazz greats like Fats Waller, Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith and Ethel Waters.
Aug 28: Soul Synergy Orchestra
Fan favorite SOUL SYNERGY Orchestra is a one of a kind vocal and instrumental ensemble that embodies the heart of classic soul music and funk.
