YoFi Fest is three days of watching and talking about movies.

It’s a chance to see new works by emerging filmmakers, including features, shorts, documentaries, music videos, animation and student works.

It all starts with the popular Red Carpet Reception on Friday evening, featuring food by Chef Peter Kelly and X2O accompanied by beverages from Slovenia Vodka, Wine in Due Time and Yonkers Brewing Company. There are a few short speeches, then on to our Opening Night shorts and feature presentation. Saturday and Sunday will offer free kids movies and workshops from KidsFilmFest and the Jacob Burns Film Center starting at 10AM, screenings at the nearby Blue Door Art Center at 11AM and our film screenings and “mini film school” lectures and workshops starting at noon at our Riverfront Library location. Following the each day’s screenings, it’s off to the After-Parties for a signature cocktail, a snack and some mingling with fellow filmmakers and film fans at the nearby Zuppa, Dolphin and 66Main. And this year there’s also a Midnight Movie on Saturday night for those who can’t get enough!

YoFi Fest is easy to get to, fun to hang out at and not to be missed!
